THE USE OF KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

In A Time Of Universal Deceit, Telling The Truth Becomes A Revolutionary Act. (Orwell)

ALL TRUTH PASSES THROUGH THREE STAGES; FIRST, IT IS RIDICULED, SECOND, IT IS VIOLENTLY OPPOSED, THIRD, IT IS ACCEPTED AS BEING SELF-EVIDENT. (Arthur Schopenhauer)

I WILL TELL YOU ONE THING FOR SURE. ONCE YOU GET TO THE POINT WHERE YOU ARE ACTUALLY DOING THINGS FOR TRUTH'S SAKE, THEN NOBODY CAN EVER TOUCH YOU AGAIN BECAUSE YOU ARE HARMONIZING WITH A GREATER POWER. (George Harrison)

THE WORLD ALWAYS INVISIBLY AND DANGEROUSLY REVOLVES AROUND PHILOSOPHERS. (Nietzsche)

Swami Vivekananda’s 9/11 speech, Gau-Rakshaks and Rohingya Muslims

11 September 2017

NEW YORK: The 9/11 in the year 1893, was the day 125 years ago when Swami Vivekananda delivered his historic speech in Chicago asserting that service to human being is more important than worship of God. He also said that service to Human (Jan-Seva) is actually service to God (Prabhu-Seva).

But today, in the name of holy cow, innocent people are being killed and attacked by those who say that they are the followers of Swami Vivekananda.

The so-called Gau-Rakshaks who are spreading hatred and culture of violence in the name of holy cow must learn lessons from teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

Today, India is celebrating 125 years of Swami Vivekananda’s famous speech which was delivered at Parliament of World Religions. Swamiji attended this Conference as a representative of Hinduism and Hindu religion.

During those period, India faced worst famine and large scale poverty throughout the country. Swamiji said religion was not the important need of Indians at that moment .He said poverty, hunger and human suffering were much more important issue at that time.

Today, the BJP and Sangh Pariwar has been implementing the communal policy for refugees or displaced people from various countries. But Swami Vivekananda in his Chicago address took pride that India is the land which offered shelter to Israelites who came to southern India and took refuge with us in the very year in which their Holy Temple was shattered to pieces by Roman tyranny.

But, as the country is celebrating 125 years of Swami Vivekananda’s great Chicago speech, the central home ministry issued a circular asking all state governments to identify and prepare deportation of all illegal immigrants including Rohingya Muslims.

It is an open fact that Rohingya Muslims are original citizens of United India (which many Bhakts call as Akhand Bharat). They were moved to Burma in 1824 by British government to work as agriculture labors .

So they have every right to be the citizens of Burma with equal rights. Since 1948, Burma government is denying that rights and destroying them, to force them flee to other countries. They are being persecuted for the last so many decades.

Swamiji declared in 1893, at the first Parliament of World religions that India has global obligation to serve humanity.

But the BJP government planning to deport thousands of Rohingya Muslim refugees is going against the teachings of Swamiji.

It will be wise for those politicians in power, to implement the teaching of Swamiji sincerely, if they really revere the saint of 1890s. The country needs the policy of tolerance, co-existence, mutual understanding and not that of hatred, violence, bias and distrust.
